What We Do
ALGOR Association is a community of professionals, companies, and institutions committed to the safe, ethical, and responsible advancement of Artificial Intelligence. We operate as a technical association specialized in supporting the governance of AI systems, with a focus on algorithmic impact assessment and regulatory compliance for public and private organizations.
AI Governance Based on ISO/IEC 42001 and Regulatory Frameworks in Brazil and the European Union.
Digital transformation and the growing adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in public and private organizations demand a new governance approach—one that is technically solid, ethically grounded, and legally compliant.
In this context, the international standard ISO/IEC 42001:2023 emerges as the first management system standard focused exclusively on AI, providing clear requirements to:
• Manage AI-related risks;
• Ensure algorithmic transparency and traceability;
• Define human responsibilities;
• Integrate ethical and technical controls throughout the AI system lifecycle.
Simultaneously, the European Union’s AI Act (Regulation EU 2024/1689) and Brazil’s AI Legal Framework (Bill No. 2,338/2023) establish legal obligations and fundamental principles that must be observed by AI providers and operators, including:
• Algorithmic risk assessment;
• Protection of fundamental rights;
• Explainability and human oversight;
• Governance scaled according to risk levels.

Our Mission
To support institutions that seek to adopt, operate, or oversee AI systems in accordance with international standards for:
• Algorithmic safety
• Transparency
• Fairness
• Traceability
• Fundamental and human rights

Our Approach
• Evaluation of AI system risk levels used by our members;
• Technical support in conducting Algorithmic Impact Assessments (AIA);
• Promotion of good governance practices and regulatory compliance for AI;
• Development of maturity models and diagnostics for digital transformation and ethical AI adoption;
• Facilitating dialogue between technology, regulation, and innovation.

Our Differentiator
ALGOR applies a proprietary methodology based on the book “Algoritmização” and the I-BPM architecture to map processes, model risks, and propose integrated digital governance strategies, in full alignment with the legal requirements in both Brazil and the European Union.

OKRs
OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) play a crucial role in managing digital transformation maturity, providing an effective framework for aligning strategic objectives and measuring tangible results.
